It’s possible to carry a 2000w load on a 12/2 NM-B cable. It won’t pass an inspection. I used 12/2 to feed the circuit and used a red felt-tip permanent marker to color the wire.
The max breaker size is 30. The circuit breaker with 12/2 Romex can be used for 20 Amps. Thebreaker is there to protect the wires not the APPLIANCE. It’s!
Twelve-gauge wire is good for 20 Amp, 10-gauge wire is good for 30 Amp, 8-gauge is good for 40 Amp, and 6-gauge is good for 55 Amp.
12 gauge wire can be used for 20amp, two-poles. It is possible to install a 20A outlet on a 20amp breaker. Don’t connect a 20A outlet to a 15A circuitbreaker. The breaker size must be at least 125% of the load amperage capacity to be considered for 16A load circuits.
The ground and neutral have the same voltage. The single pole circuit breaker is connected to the neutral busbar. The two pole circuit breakers are connected to the bus-bars. Both hot 1 and 2.
Normally, you wouldn’t wire two heaters that are rated for 480VAC operation on a power source. They would be connected along a daisy chain of wiring.
The two heaters are 1500w and 2000w. I leave the 20A breaker with 12/2 wire from my panel. I will be waiting for my electrician to come and do this, but I’m curious as to how the two heaters will be plugged in. Will they be plugged in? How does he do it?
