There is a solution.
Go to the terminal and connect your dongle. If you want to run, type lsusb and do so. All connected devices should be detected by this command. Next to your device is a sign that says Mass Storage. The device is detected as a modem.
The modem should be connected to the Internet port of the router. Use a standard cable to connect the computer to the back of the router. The modem has power. It’s a good idea to have power on your routers.
Set network settings manually.
If you plug in to the network, click Network. Click the button. The Method to Manual can be changed by selecting the IPv4 or IPv6 tab.
Network settings can be set in Ubuntu. Click on the “Wired” tab and select “Edit.”
Plug the modem into the computer. The computer should show a notification when it finds the device. The system tray has a network icon. There is a menu item with the word “Edit Connections” in it.
The first thing to do is to make sure that your wireless adapter is enabled and that you know how to operate it. If drivers are available, install them and check them. Check your internet connection.
Click the gear icon at the top-right corner of the desktop, then select System settings, click the Software & updates icon, and then click the Additional drivers tab. If you want to use alternate drivers on your system, you need to have your system scanned by Ubuntu.
There are many reasons why your internet isn’t working. Your internet service provider could be experiencing an issue, your modem may be out of date, or you may be experiencing a glitch. A faulty cable could be the problem.
The terminal needs to be opened with a dongle. The keyboard has an Alt and a T. Run if you type lsusb. All connected devices should be detected by this command. Next to your device is a sign that says Mass Storage. The device is detected as a modem. The problem is if your device is detected as a mass storage device.
Click the network icon on the panel at the top-right corner of your screen to access the NetworkManager menu. Click Connection Information if you need to see information about your connection.
NetworkManager allows you to manage network connections. Click the button to modify your connections. Depending on the number of network connections in your computer, you will see a window with at least one connection. Click to modify the settings of the connection.
While the connection is being established, the wired network icon is displayed on the top bar. When you’re connected, the dots disappear. If this doesn’t happen, you should make sure your cable is plugged in.
