How to connect AirPods to a computer running Windows

AirPods are a very handy feature, as they become compatible with connected products very quickly, especially Apple products. Here’s how to connect AirPods to a Windows computer.

1. On your PC, right-click the Windows icon on the left side of the taskbar and select Settings.

2. Click on the “Bluetooth and devices” option on the left.

3. Tap the switch on the right to activate Bluetooth.

4. You will see the name of the device connected to your PC. Click “Add Device” on the right. At this stage, you should also have your AirPods ready.

5. Open the AirPods case.

6. Press and hold the physical button on the AirPods case until you see the white LED blink.

7. You will see the Add Device menu on your computer screen. Select “Bluetooth” to add AirPods.

8. Make sure your AirPods are in pairing mode and close to your PC.

9. When your AirPods appear in the list of available devices, tap them. It may take a few seconds for your PC to connect to your AirPods.

10. Once connected, tap Done in the lower right corner.

Once you pair your Windows PC with your AirPods, both devices remember each other. While you might not have the easy and smooth experience of using AirPods on a Windows PC, they’re still great as Bluetooth headphones.
