More dead in Cuba hotel bombing

The information was released by the Cuban Ministry of Health as the country is undergoing two days of national mourning in memory of the victims. On May 12, the commander of Cuba’s national fire brigade, Luis Carlos Guzman, said the body was finally pulled from the rubble.

More than 50 people were also injured in the incident, 13 of whom were still being treated in hospital yesterday, including three adults and two children in critical condition. Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion, which the Ministry of Health believes was caused by a gas explosion.
